New COG Podcast: Greater Washington 2050: Thinking About the Future

Greater Washington 2050: Thinking About the Future. Kicking off a day-long workshop organized by Greater Washington 2050, an expert panel discussed how economic developments, technological innovations, and climate change can affect the future of the National Capital Region.

The discussion, which preceded an afternoon of scenario thinking exercises, was recorded and is now available as a podcast.

Expert Panelists:

  • Alice Rivlin, Senior Fellow at the Economic Studies Program at the Brookings Institute
  • William Halal, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Science, Technology & Innovation at George Washington University
  • Anna Motschenbacher, Solutions Fellow at the Pew Center of Global Climate Change
  • The discussion was moderated by Kojo Nnamdi, host of The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU 88.5 FM and included a number of questions from the audience which consisted of area elected officials, as well as civic and business leaders.
