Impervious Surfaces within the Metropolitan Washington Region: 1999-2000

Publication Date: 6/1/2004
Publication Number: 20047198

Impervious surface calculations were derived from analysis of multi-spectral satellite imagery acquired between 1999 and 2000.  The map shows a range of imperviousness from 0 50 +, with white being the least impervious to deep red being the most impervious.  Percent imperviousness represents the amount of impervious surface within each 30 meter Landsat TM pixel.

For mapping information, contact Brian LeCouteur at blecouteur@mwcog.org.  There are a limited number of free copies available.  Contact Mr. LeCouteur by e-mail or directly at 202-962-3393.
